The title, Mortgage Agent doesn’t mean a whole lot to most people I meet.  It is the legal term for what I do, but it doesn’t describe it.  I teach people how to properly manage their debt so they can stop paying too much interest for the money they borrow. A more descriptive title would be Professional Lending Advisor.

I became a Mortgage Agent after working for 13 years at a major financial institution and for 2 years as a Condominium Property Manager.  My various positions within the financial institution provided me with years of experience in providing clients with mortgages as well as their other personal banking needs (investments, personal credit etc).  I completed my accreditation to be a Personal Financial Planner (PFP) and my last position was as a Small Business Account Manager, which gave me experience with commercial mortgage lending and small business needs.

Now, as an AMP –Accredited Mortgage Professional, providing excellent customer service is my number one goal and taking time to learn my clients’ individual needs and situation, are key to that.  With my financial planning background, I am also able to offer any clients that may not qualify for a traditional mortgage (i.e. credit problems) with advice and counseling to improve their ratings to put them in a better position in the future.

I have lived and worked in several cities over the years and have chosen to settle in Paris with my husband and our two young boys.  I am mobile to anywhere in Brant County or Waterloo Region, though I am not limited to these areas either.
